It all started in a San Diego garage

In late 2001 guitarist/noise addict Tony Woise decided to start a little band called Noise Collage, but was unable to find the right musicians to follow the dream. Not ready to give up on his love of noise Tony continued to write and record songs under the guise of ButtNuget. Well sometime in 2002 Tony met a freak and a half named Matt Punch, a crazy folkster with an equal penchant for playing noise. The pair started jammed out on acoustic guitars at a mutual friends house and decided to start a band. With Tony now on drums and Matt taking over the guitar and vocal duties they started a folky noisey punk band called The Hobgoblins (named after a favorite B movie). After awhile Tony got sick of playing drums and the two decided to start looking for a drummer. With Matt now on bass and Tony playing guitar the duo found fellow noisehead/drummer Alex Kreep and Noise Collage was back in action. Almost immediately they started writing songs like the noise opus "Hangin Out With the Priest" which at times would run over half an hour long. In December of 2003 Noise Collage played their first show The Noise Collage Winter Formal. The show went great including the 15 minute encore of noise and a snazzy rendition of the Angry Somoans "You Stupid Asshole". In early 2004 Noise Collage set out to record their self titled demo. Recorded live on 4 track Valentines Day the album is pure noise rock bliss especially the new version of "Hangin Out With The Preist".

Unfortunately, not all was well in the Noise Collage camp. The band went through various line up changes. John Houghton took over on drums, first with Alex as the singer, then with Sheri Skum on vocal duties. However, even these last minute changes couldnt save the band and in June of 2004 Noise Collage disbanded. Tony now has a new band Allmighty Woise http://www.allmightywoise.freewebspace.com , and Matt is working on a new project himself (as of now untitled).
